Team Leader
 Rev. Garvon Golden serves the DBC in the area of sharing Christ. His strategic areas of ministry are evangelism, fellowship, prayer, and family ministry.
He also serves the convention in the areas of youth ministry and disaster relief. Garvon has over twenty years of service to the Dakotas.
Garvon and his wife, Cindy, have four children, Anna, Thomas, Lydia, and Samuel.
He has background in pastoral and associational ministry.

Strategy Plan
 Equip Believers to intentionally share the Gospel
- Train 12% of resident members per year for 5 years in sharing the Gospel
- Help churches discover an additional 50% of their Sunday School enrollment or worship attendance average as prospects each year for 5 years
- Conduct convention-wide evangelism conferences with participation from at least 50% of our congregations
- Assist associations in conducting an annual evangelism saturation event in a targeted community
- Develop and implement collegiate ministry on campuses across the Dakotas
Encourage authentic, loving relationships in the family of God
- Raise the awareness level of the importance of building authentic loving relationships in the family of God
- Resource events in associations that draw people into relationship building
- Plan and promote relationship building time at all convention related events and meetings
Develop powerful, effective prayer lives
- Promote focused prayer for spiritual awakening beginning in March of 2007
- Develop and promote a convention-wide prayer network by June 2007
- Promote a culture that values prayer
- Provide needs based resources annually to associations and churches to assist in developing personal and corporate prayer ministries
Develop strong Biblical families
- Assist churches in establishing Biblical family relationships
- Assist churches in indentifying and implementing Biblical family priorities
- Develop Godly leaders in the home
