Chris Barnes - Church Planting Missionary/Video & Tech Support Specialist
E-mail ChrisChris Barnes serves as a Church Planting Missionary for the Dakota Baptist Convention. He and his wife, Susan are missionaries with the North American Mission Board. Prior to arriving in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Chris served as the Church Planter Strategist for the Greenville Baptist Association in Greenville, South Carolina, a Strategy Leader/Missionary in the Middle East for the International Mission Board and as a youth minister in Indiana, Kentucky and South Carolina.
Chris also serves the convention as the video/tech support specialist, which includes shooting and editing videos, serving as the webmaster for DBC websites, and assisting with technology questions staff or churches may have.
Chris is a native of South Carolina, and Susan is from Arizona. They are both graduates of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity degrees in Missions. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Southern Wesleyan University, and he holds an Associate of Arts degree from Anderson University (SC). Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Math from the University of Arizona.
The Barnes have two young children, Matthew and Elizabeth. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, including cheering for (along with Susan) his kids at soccer games and building models with Matthew.
