September Personal Evangelism Training Opportunities
Two Saturday evangelism training events have been scheduled in Rapid City and Fargo for Dakota Baptists. The training, “TELL: Three Stories that Change Lives,” will be led by DBC evangelism intern Segun Adeyemo and DBC executive director Fred MacDonald.
The first training will be held on September 7 at Hills of Grace Fellowship in Rapid City, SD. The second will be September 28 at Journey Church in Fargo, ND. Both events will go from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All Dakota Baptists are welcome at either event. Registration is available online at the DBC website.
Participants will receive training on how to share the gospel by using three stories: their story of how they met Christ, the gospel story of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, and inviting their friends to allow Christ to give them their own story. In short, the three stories are “Your Story, His Story, and Their Story.”
As part of the training, participants will receive several helpful tools. They include a training manual, a copy of “Turning Everyday Conversations into Gospel Conversations” by Jimmy Scroggins, a prayer journal book, and information on starting a TELL Club. The prayer journal is a tool to help believers initiate gospel conversations. The TELL Club is a way for believers to encourage each other in sharing the gospel on a regular basis.
The training is free, and lunch will be provided. For those that need to travel more than two hours to one of the events, the DBC will reimburse up to $100 for a hotel room in the event city. Details for reimbursement will be shared at each event.
